Saturday, June 7, 2008 was a magnificent day in Sonoma. The sun was shining as guests arrived for Heather & Nick’s wedding ceremony and reception at the Fairmont – Sonoma Golf Club. Heather’s vision for an elegant black & white splendid wedding was simply perfect. The cake by Kelly Zubal with Inticing Creations was perfect, a four tier white fondant cake with black ribbon trim and iridescent pearls frame, with a black Swarovski crystal “M” cake topper. Heather was an absolutely breathtaking bride who enjoyed every minute of her amazing wedding while Nick was a fun loving and a attentive groom. Every moment of this joyous event was captured by Fima Photography, who did an incredible job, and has to be one our our new favorite photographers! The family and the bride & groom truly appreciated our hard work and made the day fun for us as well! It’s fantastic when we get to work with a bride & groom that make our job that much easier.
Our favorite Full Planning wedding of 2007 has got to be Mary and Bill’s wedding at the Berkeley City Club. Being great admirers of Julia Morgan’s Architecture Mary and Bill were overjoyed when we booked the Berkeley City Club as the venue for their inspirational wedding. The Berkeley City Club is listed in the Berkeley Designated Landmark #2, 1975, California State Landmark #908, 1977 and the National Register of Historic Places, 1977. This beautiful Berkeley City Club building was designed and built in 1929 by architect Julia Morgan who was the architect of “Hearst Castle” in San Simeon, CA. The building gothic columns and romantic archways was the perfect setting for Mary’s Victorian/Earthy tone wedding.
I loved working with Mary to make her vision a reality. I first thing I did after we booked the venue was to contacted all my favorite vendors who NEVER disappoint, flowers – Nicole Ha, Stationary/Paper – Cards de luxe, Photography – Muse Studios, Makeup – Sherrie Long, Cake – La Farine Bakery, Lighting – Got Light, Favors – Cosmic Chocolate and for rentals we contacted Classic Party Rentals. Mary and Bill’s wedding was a truly unforgettable event.

Our favorite vendors & a beautiful couple make our jobs so much easier! Jennel was a fab bride who was extremely organized! The wedding was held at the Walnut Creek Marriott and featured cake by Glass Slipper Gourmet, flowers by Nicole Ha, and paper products by Cards de Luxe. Jennel’s color pallett was one of our favorites, Tiffany Blue, Chocolate Brown and fuschia accents! She even had a Hypnotini to match her color scheme!
One of our FAVORITE people, Bay Area Wedding Photographer Jennifer Skog got married this Saturday to her longtime love, Scott. We love Jennifer..her work is amazing but on top of that she is just a really fun, friendly girl! And this wedding really captured both her & Scott’s personalities… the bride & groom were having so much fun!
The event took place at the Crystal Ballroom in San Francisco’s Marines Memorial Club and Jen’s theme was Old World Ballroom meets Modern Day Bling. And boy was there bling!! Jen’s color scheme of black & white with crystals was beyond chic! We can’t even begin to describe it….the photos say it all, courtsay of Juliet Nicole photography.

Cake: One of our favorite vendors! Glass Slipper Gourmet.
Austin & Diem are from New York City, and they contacted purchased our Twinkling package. The couple travels extensively, and wanted an “Around the World” theme.
We referred them to some of our favorite vendors, Cards De Luxe for the stationary and Glass Slipper Gourmet for their cake. Cards De Luxe did boarding passes for the menu cards, luggage tags for the escort cards & favors and passports for the programs. Glass Slipper Gourmet created an amazing cake featuring a suitcase on the base, the world, the New York Skyline, a geisha, boxing gloves & an airplane with a princess & monkey in it! Austin calls Diem “Princess” and Diem’s nickname for Austin is “Monkey”. The cake was not only beautiful, but delicious as well.
Their wedding at Hotel Valencia in Santana Row was unique & so beautiful! The ceremony was held in the courtyard with flowers floating in all of the fountains. After the ceremony, guests stayed in the courtyard and nibbled on sushi and other delectable appetizers. The reception followed with a great meal, dancing & a unique cake cutting!
Congratulations to the beautiful couple!!
This past weekends wedding was AMAZING! Sarah & Chad got married at the Sebastiani Winery in Sonoma and it was amazing. First, the venue…was unique, and the staff (including Piper from the winery) was amazingly easy to work with. They require a wedding coordinator, which is great for us because that means we are working together instead of competing with an onsite coordinator.
The ceremony was held at the Casa de Sonoma, which is a 5 bedroom villa set amongst oak trees and vineyards. The entire bridal party spent the weekend there. The ceremony held outside on the patio was sweet and the bride looked amazing! A trolley picked up guests afterwards to drop them off at the winery. The reception was held in the barrel room, and with the string lights overhead and votives, the night was dreamy. Sarah’s colors where light blue and white..and her flowers were blue hydrangeas and white tulips. They had a very cute cupcake tower of blue and white cupcakes with their monogram on them. After a cute slideshow, the guests danced to Spintronix DJ all night. A wonderfully cute couple and a fun night!
Kate & Peter got married on May 27th at The Golden Gate Club in the Presidio. Kate owns the cutest boutique in North Beach, OOMA…and her wedding style reflected her fun, vintage style. The colors were black & white with kelly green and yellow accents. The girls wore black dresses and the bride wore a paloma blanca gown with a beautiful birdcage veil.
The ceremony was unique and fun, and included a song written and performed by one of their friends. The cocktail hour that followed included a photo area where a photographer took pictures of all of the guests. Food by Union Street Catering included passed hors d’ ouevres and even popcorn served in fun black and white polka dot bags.
The reception was 4 course meal starting with the San Francisco classic clam chowder in bread bowl and finishing with an amazing cake 3 tiered cake by I Dream of Cake. Dancing followed the meal, and the guests danced late into the night with music performed by Anything You Want.
All in all the cutest, vintage, modern wedding we’ve been involved in!
